Paneer
That Holds
Its Own.
Handcrafted from our own full-fat milk — firm enough for the grill, silky enough for curry. Amaya paneer is the real thing.
The Basics
What is Paneer?
Paneer is a fresh cheese made from cows’ milk, known for its soft, crumbly texture and mild, creamy flavour. It is made by curdling milk with a natural acidic agent such as lemon juice or vinegar, then pressed to remove excess moisture — resulting in a firm yet tender consistency.
Widely used in Indian cuisine, paneer is now being embraced globally by vegetarians and health-conscious consumers who recognise it as a nutritious, high-protein alternative to meat. Amaya paneer is made right here in Guyana, using 100% local cows’ milk.

Paneer as it was meant to be made
Most paneer on the market is imported, heavily processed, or made with reconstituted milk powder. Ours is none of those things.
Made from our own fresh milk
No powder, no imports — made from 100% Guyanese milk we process ourselves at our Mahaica facility.
Zero preservatives
No artificial preservatives, binders, or additives. Just fresh milk and a natural acidic agent — the way paneer has always been made.
Holds up to heat
Our paneer grills, fries, and simmers without turning rubbery or falling apart — ideal for every cooking method.
Sustainably produced
We prioritise environmentally friendly practices — from sourcing local milk to minimising energy use and waste at every step of production.

Ways to Cook with Amaya Paneer
Paneer’s ability to absorb flavours and hold its shape makes it one of the most versatile ingredients in the kitchen. Here are six ways to enjoy it.
Grill or Pan-Fry
Marinate in your preferred spices, then grill or pan-fry until golden brown. Perfect for skewers or as a topping for salads and wraps.
Curries & Gravies
Cube or crumble into curries and gravies. Paneer absorbs the spices and flavours of the sauce — every bite irresistible.
Stir-Fry
Toss with colourful vegetables and aromatic spices in a hot wok. Adds protein and richness — ready in minutes.
Bake or Roast
Layer paneer slices with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Drizzle with olive oil, season well, and bake until golden and bubbly.
Salads & Wraps
Crumble or cube into salads and wraps for a protein-packed boost. Its mild, creamy flavour pairs beautifully with fresh vegetables and dressings.
Desserts
Make traditional sweets like rasgulla or sandesh by combining paneer with sugar and cardamom — a decadent treat with a subtle tang.
Pro Tip
Paneer does not need a lot of cooking. Season it and add it after the other ingredients have been cooked to keep it tender and fresh-tasting.
