Iced Chai Latte
Treat yourself to this creamy sweet drink with a hint of spice, made right at home. Perfect for those hot days.

Large spoon or rolling pin for crushing spices

Ingredients
2 tbsp black peppercorns
1 whole cinnamon stick
1 tbsp cardamom pods
2 tsp whole cloves
1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
5 cups water
30g loose black tea (6 tea bags)
2-4 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
2 cups milk
Instructions
Using a rolling pin or the back of a large spoon, lightly crush the dried spices and put them in a medium pot with the fresh ginger and water.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 mins.
Remove pot from the stove and add the black tea and sugar; let steep for 4 minutes then remove the tea and allow the mixture to cool completely.
Once cooled, add cold milk to the chai mixture and pour over ice.
